Website publishing guide

How to build and publish a website with DNSExit

Use the Website Builder to develop your pages first, then connect your DNSExit account and Web Hosting domain when you are ready to preview or publish.

1. Try the Website Builder

Open builder.dnsexit.com. You can begin without a DNSExit account, which gives you room to explore the site before you commit to a domain or hosting plan.

2. Connect your DNSExit account when you want to publish

Use the builder's publish flow to sign in or create a DNSExit account. This connects your project to the account that will own the hosting and domain setup.

3. Choose a Web Hosting domain

Publishing through DNSExit needs an active Web Hosting domain. If you already host a domain with DNSExit, select it. Otherwise, choose a hosting plan first, then return to publish the builder project.

4. Publish a preview before publishing live

Use the preview option to review the site under a separate path without replacing the current website. When the site is ready, choose live publishing and confirm the replacement.

5. Keep HTTPS, DNS, and email together

DNSExit Web Hosting keeps the domain, DNS tools, SSL setup, email hosting, and website publishing in the same account. That makes it easier to trace a problem when a name, certificate, or mailbox is not ready.

Existing WordPress site?
Use preview first. A live static-site publish can replace the current WordPress site, so DNSExit creates a server-side backup and offers a protected archive/restore workflow.
